Where do you deliver?+
We currently serve the continental United States (not Hawaii or Alaska). Delivery is included in the price.
How hard is the coop to build?+
Most grown-ups finish in about 2 hours, and it makes a great weekend project with kids. The cordless drill, side cutters and step-by-step video tutorials are included.
When do the hens arrive?+
After you build your coop and upload a photo in the app, we ship your supplies kit and then your two Rhode Island Red laying hens separately, so they arrive to a ready home.
Do I need a rooster to get eggs?+
Nope! Hens lay eggs without a rooster – and it's quieter for the neighbors.
How much care do the chickens need?+
A few minutes in the morning, afternoon and evening: fresh water, feed, collecting eggs and closing the coop at night. The app walks kids through every task.
Are backyard chickens allowed where I live?+
Most cities allow a small number of hens, but rules vary. Check with your city or HOA before ordering – we're happy to help you figure it out.
Is the app safe for kids?+
Accounts are owned by a parent or guardian. Posts are private by default – you choose if anything is shared with the Peggy's community.
